Job Description

Qualifications:
  1. Master’s Degree in Education preferred
  2. Bilingual Preferred
  3. Arizona Teaching Certificate / 3 years teaching experience
  4. Reading Specialist Endorsement
  5. Knowledge of community resources
  6. Good communication skills (oral and written)
  7. ELL Strategies /Reading background preferred


Responsibilities:
  1. Plan leadership in the development of a successful Reading intervention plan and work with administrators and staff in delivering research-based intervention programs.
  2. Provides leadership in the development and alignment of Reading intervention and curriculum.
  3. Provides leadership in the organization of Reading First intervention staff development opportunities.
  4. Evaluates the use of Reading Intervention programs and coordinates with the district.
  5. Work with students whose DIBELS assessment data places them in the “at risk” level of “intensive”.
  6. Responsible for completing bi-weekly progress monitoring.
  7. Use data to plan and provide intervention lessons through both a push in and out model, with flexible groupings to accommodate like needs.
  8. Maintain accurate records of individual student progress
  9. Utilize strategies and techniques that are based in scientific research.
  10. Collaborate with school site personnel to ensure program goals are met.
  11. Use supplemental, intervention, and/or core reading program materials that meet the requirements for SBRR.
  12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Salary: Teacher Salary Schedule

Terms of Employment: 9 months
